Hey, hey, my name is Mike…great to meet you!

I’m a senior level custom web developer with an addiction for writing the cleanest, most functional code in the least amount of time. Call me a code purist, perhaps? Oh, and I’m a big fan of ultra hoppy IPAs.

A quick “who I am” nutshell — I’ve been tweaking on computer programming since my Dad brought a Smith Corona Acer / 286 / with 16k RAM home and it pretty much snowballed from there. I graduated years later with computer science/math degrees (does anyone care about that anymore?), and truly earned my programmer stripes working on-site with Code & Theory in NYC.

From C&T, I worked as a development/tech director for a national college leadership society and absorbed all kinds of management skills, how to best train junior developers, tweak high maintenance servers, make cost management decisions and more. From there, I became a freelance-developer-for-hire, so I could ditch the urban lifestyle, travel down to VA…all so I could live in a yurt, raise chickens and get my ‘shine on.

Fast forward to today – I live in NC and generally work remotely with both development and PR companies that need a senior level custom developer to help out their existing team or to handle overflow work. >>Pick My Brain

While I currently have a full slate of work, I’m always interested in talking about future projects and collaborations. Shoot me an email, DM on Twitter or check me out on LinkedIn. Looking forward to talking further!
